1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Alongside Coalition platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Alongside Coalition provides a vetted directory of Christian-owned businesses, industry-specific guilds with structured membership, community features including chat, video halls, and peer reviews. The Service is operated by Alongside Coalition ("we", "us", "our").

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account and complete our attestation process affirming your Christian faith and business ethics. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent business information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Post spam, unsolicited promotions, or duplicate content

5. Business Listings

Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information. We reserve the right to remove or suspend any listing that violates these Terms or our community standards. Listings undergo a review process and may be flagged by the community for review.

6. Guild Membership

Guild membership is subject to approval by guild officers. Membership tiers may require paid subscriptions processed through Stripe. Membership may be suspended or revoked for violations of guild standards or these Terms.

7. Reviews and Content

By posting reviews, messages, or other content ("User Content"), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service. You represent that you own or have the right to share any content you post.

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. We moderate reviews and reserve the right to remove content that is fraudulent, abusive, or violates our guidelines.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

Certain features require paid subscriptions. Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the applicable rate. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content) are and remain the property of Alongside Coalition. Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used without our prior written consent.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use privacy-respecting analytics (PostHog) and do not sell your personal data to third parties.

11. Certification Program

Gold-tier certification involves a review of business practices and faith attestation. Certification is granted at our discretion and may be revoked if the business no longer meets our standards. Certification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any business's products or services.

12. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of business listings, reviews, or user content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alongside Coalition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alongside Coalition and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
